Works on my straight hair.
I would have given this brush 5 stars but there are 2 plugs where the bristles look like they were not filled in as tightly as the others. A minor issue but I thought I would point it out. The boar bristles are firmer than I expected. When I use any boar bristle brush, I have to separate my hair into sections. This brush is working great for my fine but thick longer hair. I am happy and will probably order another style. The wood on my brush is brown and not black, which again is not a problem for me. I like this lighter brown. The wood isn't so slick that it slips in your hand and there is a slight roundness at the end of the handle that fits in your palm. This is a good quality brush for a very good price. It arrived quickly and the personal attention I received at Barber Supply was fantastic.

Seeing the Diane #8119 off of looks I thought the brush wouldn’t be top notch but as I felt the bristles and used it for the first time I am able to agree that the Diane #8119 lives up to its reputation as a good quality brush.
